October 9

Today I'm adding a full roll of beautifully aged and yellowed piano paper.
This piece was kind of tricky to photograph because of it's odd proportions. The image doesn't do the product justice, but I hope it sparks your imagination and creativity.
As you unroll the paper you reach the lovely dotting in the paper which determined which note the piano played while set on auto-play.  (this is how the dealer described the rolls of paper to me. It could be completely wrong. If that's the case please feel free to chime in with the correct description).
I hope you are all enjoying the last little bit of a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stoping in and spending part of it with me. I have truly enjoyed all of your comments and hearing from you :)

I was is an antique shop and they had taken the panio scroll and had used it as a runner on a dresser, my discription does not do it justice as it looked really cool.

I wish I had a piano player.
I wonder what the song is on it?

This is another treasure...how can you part with them? This would make a great backdrop on my book shelves that have my little miniature collections.

I love old piano rolls! I have a player on my piano, but it is the new one that uses cds! Not as pretty as the rolls!

There is an old player piano at my grandparents' cabin and we've always loved to play it! I've seen some amazing things done with player piano rolls.
